HSE

Safety is our core value and at the heart of performance across Integrated Oil Services (IOS). At IOS, we believe that a recognized and respected Occupational Health and Safety management system is not just a mandatory requirement, but a minimum standard vital to our long-term business growth and development

Everything we do relies upon the safety of our workforce and the communities around us. Safety at IOS is underpinned by our Integrated HSSE management system. IOS Integrated HSSE-MS allow us to develop a systematic framework which designed to sustainably deliver safe, reliable and compliant operations.

We are deeply committed to the health and safety of our employees, our clients and our suppliers, and to further demonstrate this commitment we achieved certification in  ISO 45K, ISO 14K and  ISO 9K since 2018. We are focused on Safety Leadership at all levels and have introduced our own accountability program ‘The Guardians’ which focuses on individual responsibility whilst in a team.

Integrated Oil Services has also designed and launched its own Behavioural Based Safety program called OIC which assists personnel at all levels to recognise, respond to, and actively stop unsafe acts and conditions.

Regardless of our efforts so far, we continue to strive for better results and every year we invest in new technology to make our equipment safer and easier to use for our workforce so that Integrated Oil Services remains a market-leading standard-setter for health and safety

Personal safety

Our people’s wellbeing comes first

Integrated Oil Services recognizes that the protection of its employees is paramount to the success of the company. Our most important asset is the people we employ, and we leave no stone unturned when ensuring that each and every member of our staff is protected from the hazards they may encounter during the course of the normal working day.

We have seen gradual improvements in our personal safety metrics over the past five years, which we believe reflect our increasingly systematic approach and improvements in safety leadership and human performance. This work is ongoing with a continuing focus on our updated Safety Leadership Principles and initiatives such as our roll-out of the IOGP Life Saving Rules.

In 2021, we recorded an increase of 24% in our recordable injury frequency (RIF) and an increase in 16% in our days away from work case frequency (DAFWCF) compared with 2020.

Compared with 2019, in 2021 our RIF slightly improved and, except for 2020, it was better than at any time in the past 5 years.

Nerveless, in 2021 IOS achieve a great mile stone of One-Year LTI Free on our IOS-3 Rig that work at Tawke PSC in our first year of operation with DNO ASA.
